About Tolerated Constrictions

What unfolds is a map of the body—how it bends to accommodate, how it clenches under pressure. While creating this work, I thought about standing waiting for your favorite music artist to perform in a crowd so tight that your breath belongs to someone else. I thought about organs generously moving aside to make room for a growing child. About the quiet violence of consensual compression, and how much we are willing to tolerate to help us edge closer to something we desire.
